Happy Holidays from Philly

As we head into Christmas and soon the New Year I wanted to send a warm Thank You to all of my subscribers and supporters.

2018 far beyond exceeded any of my expectations and I am in awe looking back at the journey so far.

I went from being an isolated, lost, and lonely trader to finding a community of like minded individuals who believed in me even on the days I didn't believe in myself. 2016 and 2017 were a breeze in the markets, but trying in my personal life. 2018 has been a challenge as far as maintaining constant profitability, but one of the best years of my entire life. I would take the latter over the former any day.

When I launched The Delusional Trader back in September of this year, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. I am still very early in the journey and the site as well as myself have a lot of growing left to do. However, the ride so far has been worth it.

It was my aim with the site to bring curated content to every day market speculators like myself with no bias or agenda. There are lots of great curators out there, but I have yet to find one that doesn't place emphasis on promoting their own or pushing work that fits their beliefs, position or business model. I also was hoping to bring a broader range of content to active traders. We often get so caught up on strategies, tickers and short term news that we forget about the bigger picture. I found the more I concentrated on macro concepts, portfolio management, and behavioral psychology rather than the next best system the better my trades became. Not to mention the expansion to my knowledge set. However, this idea really sprang from my frustration at information overload. Between the feeling of drowning in content and having no real means of organizing it all I was essentially just reading titles and praying that would suffice. So like any good idea, The Delusional Trader came as a solution to my own problem. I hope you all find it as useful as I have in bringing together quality content in a way that is easy to access.

But back to the real reason for this post. 2018 was made great by the people in my life, and I would be remiss if I didn't thank some of them specifically in a post. In no particular order these are some of the people who helped make this year so special:

Like all good #FF posts, I am sure I have forgotten people who I will most certainly kick myself for having left off. But in the spirit of my favorite Gif
